How to make 8 vegan bread rolls
Ingredients:
240ml warm water
2 tablespoons white sugar
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons olive oil
3 cups of bread flour
1 teaspoon dried yeast
Method:
pour 240ml of luke warm water into a warm (not hot) bowl.
stir in 2 tablespoons of white sugar.
stir in 1 teaspoon of salt.
stir in 2 tablespoons of olive oil.
measure the 3 cups of bread flour and pour on top of the liquid.
add 1 teaspoon of dried yeast on top of the flour.
mix altogether thoroughly.
knead for 10 minutes on a floured surface.
put in a bowl with a tea towel over the top and leave to prove for at least 4 hours.
take out of bowl and break up into 8 chunks, roll each chunk into a ball and place on a lined baking tray.
put a tea towel over the top and leave to prove for another 4 hours.
bake in the oven for 15 to 20 minutes at 180C fan oven. Test to see if they are cooked by tipping one over and tapping it on the bottom to see if it sounds hollow. If it does it is cooked.
leave to cool before eating.
